Urban Affairs Roundtable

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to be a part of State Representative’s Angie Chen Button’s Urban Affairs Round Table. Representative Chen is chair of the House Urban Affairs Committee and round table granted the opportunity for community leaders to directly voice to Representative Button which issues were our greatest concern for our urban districts.

The discussion focused on several important topics including affordable and financial assistance-aided housing, education, infrastructure, healthcare and environmental issues. Representative Button also updated us on several bills working through the legislature including Senate Bill 2, House Bill 1973, House Bill 2943 and others that directly affect District 112.

I look forward working with Representative Button as a contributor to future round table discussions.
